Account Access Basics

What Signing In Uses
When you sign in with Apple or Google, Logit uses your name and email to create and protect your account — that is what tells your private notes apart from everyone else's — plus a required age check: Apple or Google confirms an adult-status age range, never your birth date. Optional profile basics from Google, like gender, only pre-fill your profile, and you can edit or remove them anytime.
- You sign in through Apple or Google, so Logit never sees or stores the password for that account.
- With Apple you can choose to hide your email, and Logit works the same either way.
- Signing in does not give Logit your contacts, photos, or health data. Contacts and photos stay off until you separately choose to turn them on for a specific feature, and you can turn them back off anytime. Health data is read-only when you do turn it on.
- If you choose Use current location during onboarding or event authoring, Logit reads one foreground location while the app is open and suggests it on that private journal event. Logit does not use background location or build a location history. You can change the place with Google Maps, remove it for any event, deny permission, or keep using manual place search.
