Connect Google Calendar
Read your calendar in Logit and choose what to save in your journal.

Use Google Calendar as read-only context, then choose which completed events become private journal records. You need a Google account, a working sign-in connection, and calendars you are comfortable allowing Logit to read. If connection is unavailable, write the event manually.
Connect and verify
- Open Self → Settings → Bring Google Calendar into Logit.
- Start the connection, choose the Google account and read Google's consent screen. Logit requests the calendar list and events with read-only access.
- Return to Logit and check the connection status. Read one known event in your day to confirm the intended account and calendar are connected.
- To record an event, open it in Logit, assign its life area, duration and Life Ring, and save the journal record. Check the date and actual minutes rather than assuming the scheduled length was time you spent.
- Open that event in your journal to check the saved result. A displayed calendar item alone is not a saved journal entry.
Calendar titles, times, locations and the calendar they belong to can reveal sensitive plans. Review the calendars you allow. Logit cannot create, edit, move or delete Google Calendar events. Tasks and habits created in Logit do not write back to Google Calendar.
Calendar context, journal and task are different

A task for a Google Calendar event is private preparation in Logit. It does not change the event or invite its attendees. If you ask Loggy to journal about an event, review the matched event, occurrence and resulting journal before saving.
Disconnect
Disconnect from the calendar connection in Self → Settings, or revoke Logit's access in your Google account. Future reads stop. Your saved journal events, reflections and life-area choices remain. Account deletion removes the stored connection with the account's data under the deletion policy.
If this did not work
- Sign-in did not finish: return to Settings and check the status before trying again. A closed Google page is not proof of connection.
- An event is missing: check the Google account, selected calendars, date and connection status. A failed refresh is not evidence that Google deleted the event.
- Event details seem old: refresh the connection or reopen the current calendar item; linked event information can be stale. Confirm the occurrence before creating preparation tasks.
- Disconnected but a journal entry remains: this is expected. Disconnecting ends access, not your saved writing. Remove the journal separately only if you want to.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Does connecting publish my schedule?
No. Calendar context starts private. A reflection you separately share has its own reviewed audience.
What permissions should I expect?
The calendar list and events, read-only. A request to create or edit Google Calendar events is not this connection.
