Review one older note with kindness
Safety boundary
Memory review should support understanding, not force disclosure or judgment.

A journal is more than a record of what happened. Over time, it can show what keeps asking for care.

🎯 Use This When

  • Older notes feel scattered.
  • You want to understand a repeated pattern.
  • You are deciding whether something needs action, rest, support, or learning.

🔒 What Stays Private

Your memory and pattern review stays private unless you choose to share selected context with a Circle.

✅ One Thing To Do Now

Open one older note and ask: what was this trying to tell me?

On This Day Photo Memories

On This Day photo memories are part of the journal-from-photos suite, which is rolling out gradually and is not yet available on all plans; access will widen over time. Until it reaches your plan, the preference and memory cards stay hidden; your original journal entries remain available in normal journal history and are not rewritten or removed.

When today matches the month and day of one of your photo-backed journal events from a prior year, Reflect can show it near the top of today's journal. Only events you authored are considered; an event may have been private or shared when you originally saved it.

Choose Add today's reflection to write what the moment means now. That text is saved as a new private annotation dated today. It does not rewrite the old event, change its date, or change who can see the original. People who can see a previously shared event cannot see your present-day annotation.

Open the original event later to find these notes under Memory reflections. They stay separate from the public or Circle comments attached to a shared post.

If there is no matching photo event, no memory card is added. You do not need to do anything, and there is no streak or missed-memory state.

Memory Flow

In short: a moment becomes a note, notes reveal patterns, patterns create meaning, and meaning can guide one next step.

🌿 Why This Matters

Memory gives reflection continuity. Without it, each hard day can feel isolated.
