Action guide
Add a Recipe to Your Shopping List
Use a recipe on a cooking day and send its ingredients to a linked grocery run.
Open ActOn this page
Use one Cook dinner practice, one cooking day and a grocery run. These controls need the enabled Practices, recipe and list experience. If absent, use your existing Act tasks and a separate shopping list.
Set Up a Cooking Night and a Grocery Run
- Open a cooking chore, or choose Act → Create in Act → Chores → Cook dinner, review its days and add it.
- Under Coming up, choose Add it on the grocery-run suggestion. Or choose Link an event yourself and select List run.
- Pick an existing event, or create one in Connect. A connected Google Calendar event can be used without changing its source. Review the staples added to each run.
- Keep the list personal, or choose Share this run's list with a household. Eligible members of that household Circle can see the event association and list, add or tick items, and claim items. This does not share your journal, other practices or Google Calendar details.
Use a Recipe on a Cooking Day
- Under Next 7 days, open the day's menu and choose Use a template. Pick a recipe. You can also keep recipes under the practice's Templates → Add templates and choose Use on a day.
- Set Servings and check the ingredient preview.
- Choose the button naming the day, such as Add to tonight.
- Open the linked run's list and check the recipe's name and quantities. Choose Start this run's list if needed.
Ingredients go to the latest eligible run on or before the cooking day, within 13 days. Pantry items stay with the recipe unless you enable Add pantry items to the list. Without a suitable run, ingredients stay with the recipe and a note explains why.
Let recipes rotate
Cook dinner, Cook a meal and Meal prep start with five vegetarian recipes in rotation. Next up offers the recipe after the one last cooked. A skipped day leaves it waiting. Under Templates, choose Do this one next, reorder, remove or add recipes to change the rotation.
Some learning, creative and meditation practices rotate session templates too. A measurable practice step opens a private Drill log for rounds, minutes, targets and how it felt; preparation and review steps stay quick ticks. Step minutes are not counted again at session completion. Where supported, Loggy can preview a drill log for your confirmation.
For finite achievements that follow one another, see goals within a practice.
Change the day or recipes
Move to another day moves unticked ingredients; ticked items keep their original record. Removing a recipe from the practice's templates leaves days where you already used it unchanged. Recipes can be searched or narrowed by region and diet; check ingredients yourself. Logit gives no nutrition or allergy advice.
If this did not work
Check the event link is List run, its date is within the preceding 13 days, and it is not cancelled. Read the preview, refresh and check the saved recipe before adding it again.
Next steps
Shop from the list, make a recipe template, or assign the chore.
