Safety boundary
The Act ring is a private care signal, not a public score.

Act turns meaning into one manageable next step.

Most journal apps stop at the reflection. Act is the part that keeps going: goals, tasks, habits, focus blocks, and ready-made plans — every one of them tied to a part of life and the ring it feeds.

🎯 Use This When

  • You want to understand the Act signal.
  • This part of life feels too loud, too quiet, or hard to read.
  • You noticed something in Reflect and want one honest step for it.
  • You want one next step without pressure.

🔒 What Stays Private

Your Act signal is private. It does not expose your journal or make your activity public.

Every goal, task, and habit a template creates arrives private. Sharing any of it is a separate choice you make later.

✅ One Thing To Do Now

Choose one task, habit, goal, or focus block that fits today.

Where Act Sits In The Loop

In short: Act is the middle of the loop — the thing you noticed becomes one goal with real steps, and that goal is what a Circle can help you finish.

⭕ What This Ring Covers

Tasks, habits, goals, action templates, and focus blocks. Time you log against Act is what fills this ring.

🎯 Goals That Arrive With Their Steps

You can build a task, habit, or goal from scratch. You can also start from an action template — a ready-made plan that arrives with its own tasks, habits, and timeline. There are 56 goal templates, from "get fit" to "strengthen my relationship".

  • Every goal, task, and habit names the life area it belongs to and the Life Ring it counts toward. "Strengthen my relationship" is Relationships, and it feeds Connect. "Get fit" is Health, and it feeds Act.
  • Steps are spread across the plan's span, so the work lays out over time instead of piling up in one place.
  • Everything a template creates becomes an ordinary goal, task, or habit you can edit, reschedule, or delete.

Because a plan names its areas and rings up front, you can see the balance of the life you have lived and the balance of the one you are planning — the same ten life areas, the same four rings — and notice a lopsided month before it happens rather than reading about it afterwards.

Every goal template also offers a matching community, with a visible opt-out before apply. That is Connect.

🌿 A Healthy Signal Might Mean

  • Something here is in rhythm.
  • Something here needs care.
  • This area is intentionally quiet for a season.
  • You need rest, support, learning, or a smaller step.

🌱 Gentle Next Step

Reduce the step until it can start. A goal you can begin today is worth more than a plan you keep rewriting.

🌿 Why This Matters

The Act ring helps balance stay practical. It turns a broad life area into one readable signal, and it makes sure noticing something has somewhere to go.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a goal I write and an action template? Only the starting point. A template hands you a goal that already has its tasks, habits, and timeline; from that moment on it behaves like anything else you created, and you can change or delete any part of it.

Why does every task name a life area and a ring? So progress has context instead of being a count. It is also what lets your plan be checked against your actual week — same ten areas, same four rings.

Does a full Act ring mean a good week? No. Act filling while Reflect and Connect stay empty is a signal in itself. The rings are there to show the shape of a week, not to be maximised.

What if I cannot keep up with a plan I started? Shrink it. Reschedule the steps, pause a habit, or delete what is no longer honest. Capacity is information, not failure.
